St Teresa of Calcutta Novena
Introduction prayer
Dear Mother Teresa, when Jesus said on the Cross–I thirst–you understood that more than physical thirst, He was thirsting for our love, for the love of every soul He redeemed.
You gave your life in the service of Christ, so that every soul you touched would respond to the love of Jesus and quench His thirst.
I ask that you pray for me and obtain from the Heart of Jesus (mention your request here…)
Saint Teresa of Calcutta, help me to let Jesus possess my whole being completely, as you did, so that I too may radiate His light and love to others.
Amen.
Concluding prayer
Our Father
Hail Mary
Glory Be
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.
St Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us!

God is not interested in the physical attitude of prayer. It doesn’t make any difference in what horizontal, vertical, or oblong direction your carcass happens to be; if your soul is not down before God, you are not praying. Your body can be in any condition, but if your soul is bold, defiant against God, you know nothing about prayer.
